Founded in 2013, the San Diego County Prosperity Foundation, organized and operated exclusively for charitable purposes under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, supports the charitable aspects of the mission of the San Diego County Prosperity Institute, and undertakes other charitable activities as the board of directors from time-to-time determines.

Founded in 2011, the specific purpose of the San Diego County Prosperity Institute, a social welfare organization described in Section 501(c)(4) of the Internal Revenue Code, is (i) to promote social welfare by gathering reliable and accurate information about the impact of current and proposed public policies on the economy and general prosperity at the local, state, and national levels, (ii) to inform, educate and motivate the public about such impact, and (iii) to carry on other social welfare activities associated with these goals, as allowed by law.
