If you’re like me, you believe public ignorance is government bliss. While dozens of progressive non-profit organizations have been operating locally for years – promoting anti-privatization of public services, union-only Project Labor Agreements, split-roll property taxes, Living Wage and opposition to pension reform – there have been zero local non-profit organizations serving the interests of fiscal conservatives who value personal liberty and responsibility, free enterprise, reasonable regulation and low taxes. Until now.
The San Diego County Prosperity Institute is committed to protecting taxpayers by advocating for local government reform and regional economic prosperity.
We are an entrepreneurial non-profit. We take an integrated approach to funding with no silos partitioning off fundraising and programs, finding earned- and passive-income opportunities where appropriate. We continually seek financing for both short and long term goals, with the aim of building programs and infrastructure to affect positive legislative and political outcomes.
We think big. As you’ll see, our goals are big, hairy and audacious. We believe big, hairy, audacious goals serve as a unifying focal point of effort, galvanizing partners and creating team spirit as we strive toward our objectives. I think you’ll agree.
Join us as a partner – for prosperity!
